Essex Military Support Association, the team behind the successful Armed Forces Day Rayleigh event this year, has today agreed to partner with Southend Airshow & Military Festival. Essex Military Support Association will bring its considerable military expertise, local partnerships and event management skills to Southend Airshow and Military Festival. Dan Rodgers will join the Southend Airshow & Military Festival as Head of Military Affairs.
Essex Military Support Association’s recent Armed Forces event was one of the largest in Essex and welcomed 12, 000 people to King George’s Park in Rayleigh. Armed Forces Day Rayleigh featured widespread support amongst local military units and was the only Armed Forces Day in the region to feature Aircraft such as the Tornado, Spitfire and a Sea King helicopter.
Dan Rodgers from Essex Military Support Association had this to say:
“I am absolutely delighted to be able to accept the offer of the Southend Airshow & Military Festival team to join them in putting together one of the counties most iconic of events. I will be working closing with both John and Tom as well as my own team at the Essex Military Support Association to bring a top level event to the people of South Essex in September 2014.”
